Hay Camera Club has recently won 3 photograph competitions.
The first win was against Hereford Camera club, followed by wins against ‘Border Monochrome’ and Marlborough, a club based in New Zealand.
In September the club will open its autumn series meetings at its new venue at the Masonic Hall in Hay-on-Wye. On Tuesday 4th September at 7.30pm there will be a ‘special’ opening event. Heidi Stewart, a brilliant photographer from south Wales will be speaking about her landscape photography through different parts of the UK and Iceland. Together we will be visiting Anglesey, Northumberland, the Scottish Highlands, West Cornwall, South East Iceland and many other beautiful locations in between. Heidi has published a number of books and travels widely capturing images of our beautiful countryside.
Members of the public are most welcome to join us at this event and others for a small charge to cover room hire and refreshments. We have a great selection of events and speakers coming lined up for this year. Do come and join us. The Club offers a warm welcome to prospective members.
